The Dominican Republic comprises the eastern part of Hispaniola,
the second largest island of the Greater Antilles.

The peninsula in the northeast is called Samaná.
|
|
It is a very scenic drive from Sanchez to Las Terrenas along a mountainous road.
In Los Puentes (about four miles before you reach Las Terrenas) you leave the tarmac turning off to the West (right at the two-storey "colmado")
down a dirt road (4WD required).
After 400 yards you will see the gate of our finca "Samanave".
Now you want to blow your horn real loud...
